This custom double-stone ring was designed to honor a mother’s two little ones, each stone created from milk during one of her breastfeeding journeys. While the stone can be crafted from milk collected during separate journeys, it doesn’t have to be. Because it’s your milk, the same milk can be used for both stones, beautifully symbolizing the bond that connects every chapter of motherhood.

Ashes to Ocean was created in memory of my grandfather. The sand within this pendant is lovingly handcrafted from his cremation ashes, blending into the shoreline beneath rolling ocean waves. Every layer was designed to represent the natural cycle of life: returning to the earth, the water, and the places that forever hold our memories.

This pendant inspired the poem I wrote to accompany it:

“When my footprints no longer leave marks in the sand, let the waves carry me out to sea. Crushed seashells of past milled into sand, taken back to the Earth that built me.

Let the grief flow out with the foam of the tide and heal with her vitamin sea. The life I led, the moments we shared, hold proud as my legacy.

I now dance in the glory of Heaven, her ocean a melody. One more tide with you is the only things better, so with this wave you’ll hold a piece of me.”

This heirloom pendant preserves one mother’s final breastfeeding journey in sterling silver. Her youngest baby’s milk became the foundation of the piece, while a clipping of their hair was carefully transformed into a flourishing Tree of Life. Each branch is adorned with genuine 24k gold leaf, and her children’s birthstones bloom throughout the tree in birth order. Nestled beside it are her youngest baby’s tiny footprints, captured forever from the day they entered the world.
